Anyone know why there is a hatch in the bedroom floor into the front storage compartment?

One of the beams to strengthen the trailer will cover it up.

Comoco :  Just a guess but your 2nd picture shows a furnace duct nearby – maybe the “hatch” was supposed to be a duct that was misplaced?

JohnD222:  Is that where a dryer would go on your model? The duct then venting out the front or side?

Alloy:  Baffling….. all we could think of was an opening for dirty laundry ….it makes our Cameo special if no one else has one. The wood in the picture is the frame of the bed that moves back and for with the slide.

moo2613:  Odd, did you cut the carpet, or was already like that?

Alloy:  The carpet and underlay were already cut.

retiredfields:  Perhaps an access port to the slide mechanism under the bed?

DandK-Travelers:  No one has figured what this hole is for?  It’s from the side of the bed into the front storage area.  I think it could be for 120v access for an electric blanket?  Any ideas?

msw3113:  Our Cameo has one just like it, same place same size.  If it’s for something clever or useful we’d like to know.

MYSTERY SOLVED

DandK-Travelers:  It is directly below the bolt to manually extend the bedroom slide.  So if the slide is in and a problem develops that you can’t extend the slide you have a way.
