chuck: Tom and Debbie,
You can try to replace with “daylight” type LED. They are much brighter, but some of the brighter ones seem to have a bluish tint to them. Try a couple of brands and see if one works for you.

jdpm: I added some additional LED puck lights to our LS fiver. I found a number of them on ebay. Look for the ones with the highest lumens number and they will be the brightest ones. As you know, the LED lights use much less power and run very cool.

DandK-Travelers: I’m going to try a 6 watt led bulb for more light.  Currently, I have 3-watt bulbs, I think that’s is standard.  I ordered them from Amazon here;

I’ll report back on the results when I receive them.

DandK-Travelers: Received the lights and provided pictures below.  I replace the lights in my 4.5-inch puck lights with the 6 watt light.  They are brighter.  See for your self.  I tried them in a 3-inch fixture and they do fit.  I’ll purchase more.

DandK-Travelers: The 4th picture from the top is the old light.  You can see the new light on the right in the picture.
moo2613: Wow, that is a lot better.  Thank you for the pictures, I have been hesitant on this upgrade until now.

Pkg. download step by step

  • 1. Click on the Download link provided below.
  • 2. A browser tab will open showing your download in .zip format with the download button.
  • 3. Click the download button.
  • 4. The .zip file will appear in a pop-up winow. Click the "Save" button in the lower right corner of the popup.
  • 5. You may see a brief pop-up notice that you can click on to open the file or you can go to your "Downloads Folder" in your File Explorer.
  • 6. In the File Explorer window, your download will appear at the top of the list of downloads.
  • 7. Left click to "Highlight" the file.
  • 8. In the Header of the window, you'll see "Extract All"... A pop-up will appear, you can click "Extract" button to extract and save to the default location shown in the pop-up and open it from there or you can click on the "Browse" button and choose your preferred location to save it.
  • 9. Click on the "Extract" button.
  • 10. Once Extracted, you can open and view the file.
