I’m going to remove the vinyl trim insert on the roof length of my LS , the trim looks like it’s almond in color , I would like to buy new trim , have any of you done this and what brand of vinyl did you use, and what color did you use ?

      Thanks .

        Van,

I have not used this nor am I certain that we are 7/8” track – the track width is critical for any replacement to work.

more to the point despite many good reviews there are several terrible ones including the following 4/14/2024 review – tough to say if this and other poor reviews were because the track width was not perfect fit but I would search out the Camco or better product. I have not found Camco to be the best stuff, but better than many knock offs.

I’m not sure where all the 5 star reviews are coming from on this product. I bought it based off the reviews but was disappointed. I tried to instal it on the roof line, replacing some that was Sun worn. I messed with it about 10 minutes trying to get it started/stay in the track, it just didn’t work. I had replaced the other side previously and remembered that it just didn’t seem that hard to work with. I went and found the old left over roll I had from Camco that was only about 5 feet long. The camco felt more rubbery and this one felt more like plastic.

I went back up on the ladder with the camco piece and it went right in, just like I remembered. I came down off the ladder, threw this roll in the trash (as I had it too long to return it) and ordered some Camco.

Side note, new Camco came the next day and went right in. I just think this is a cheap plastic knock off and it didn’t work for me. I would not recommend it”

Thanks for the review, I think I will go with the Camco , if they have it in almond or beige.

We went with RV Designer in Colonial White, which is an off white color like almond. It matched our rig (2018 FR Columbus) perfectly and was easy enough to work with. We went with heavy duty rated. You could tell it was thicker than the OEM stuff.
