Good evening everyone I wanted to share a positive experience about transfer flow auxillary fuel tanks and share how to get a price break on a new tank if you purchase a new truck.

I recently sold my old 7.3l powerstroke and purchased a new F350. When you purchase a new truck through ford you can go through Ford and get their discount pricing I saved about $200 on the tank. I assume it can be any of the big three truck manufacturers.

As far as the installation I am pleased, this is the 2nd transfer flow product I have had and they make good stuff, the staff is VERY nice the installation time was approximately 3 hours in length.

Hope this can help someone, safe travels

        Eric

Strange. I have heard of Ford voiding engine warranty because of such tank installations. Not first hand knowledge mind you.

I specifically checked to make sure that installing the fuel tank would not void the factory warranty on the new truck. I took this excerpt directly from the transfer flow website:

Will I void my vehicle’s warranty if I install one of your fuel tanks?
No! Installing a Transfer Flow fuel tank system on your vehicle WILL NOT void your vehicle’s warranty The Magnuson-Moss Warranty Act makes it illegal for companies to void your warranty or deny coverage under the warranty simply because you used an aftermarket part. As defined by the FTC, an “aftermarket” part is a part made by a company other than the vehicle manufacturer or the original equipment manufacturer. A consumer has the right to patronize independent retail stores and repair shops for parts and service without fear of voiding the new car warranty. The dealer/vehicle manufacturer has the right to deny a warranty repair but they must demonstrate that the aftermarket part caused the problem. The warranty remains in effect for all other covered parts.

        Hope that helps
