From my list of saved websites it appears I was a member a few years ago, but must have let the membership expire.  But I digress.  I’m on my third Carriage.  We first owned a 2002 F34CK3 and then a 2006 F35CKQ.  The latter one was totaled this last spring when a vehicle pulled out in front of us as we were returning to Iowa from spending the winter in Texas. No injuries resulting from the collision but truck and trailer were beyond repair.  We replaced the trailer with a 2010 F36FWS.  We’re the second owners of the trailer. The first owners didn’t abuse the trailer, but they didn’t exactly know (care?) about maintenance.  Fortunately, after owning two prior units, we knew how well built and forgiving Carriage trailers are. It’s taken a lot of cleaning and making minor repairs but it’s now ready for us to start using and will make a nice winter home for us in Texas.  I’m no stranger to tools and do a fair amount of woodworking so that helps.  I am running into a couple of things I can’t quite figure out and that’s the initial purpose for joining this group.  Hopefully I can give back as much as I receive.

Congrats on the new to you carriage and welcome back!  We are from North Texas.  Hoping to become full time RVers in the next year or so.

Welcome Randy.  It appears that I have the same unit. Holler when you think you need help.  A phone call is often faster and better than typing but the latter is needed when traveling and across time zones.

Thanks. I see from your profile that you’re in to woodworking also.  We winter in the Texas Hill Country and I take some of my power tools and some pre-cut wood with me so I can assemble small projects while we’re there.

Where at in the Texas Hill country? We were Carriage owners for 11 years and sold our 36max-1 last year and built a small home in the hill country around Burnet. We bought ba smaller fifth wheel to travel in.

i am a retired shop teacher and have got my own shop in my home. Keeps me occupied. I was wondering how i could put my CNC in my storage bay when I travel. I think too much shaking happens.

Strap it down.  All should be good
