Sorry this somehow ended up the manuf rep ‘on the inside’ area when I wanted it here.

We had MCD shades added on our Cameo so when we bought a new LIfestyle we were happy to see that MCD shades were offered as an option. Happy then, not so much anymore after getting them. Whoever measured ours did a less than desirable job, the shades barely cover the window in a few instances, one window was approx. 2 inches less than the width MCD would provide. My wife has taken to using painters tape on some of the worst ones because you can see inside. The extensions to the window frames were a good idea but only if the shade is wider.Has anybody else seen this? We ask because when I mentioned this to Lifestyle they said they have never heard of this before. I told them I would consult with my peeps.
Sorry for duplication as I posted this on multiple forums
Posted: 6:00 PM – Jan 22, 2016I totally get what you are talking about. We like the shades and I would say that they are a large as the area allows the shade to be. Meaning that the shade does cover the window. However, the shade edges tend to curl a bit allowing a crack at the edges as you describe.
I wish Lifestyle would have created a wrap trim just like the one on the sides. That would cure the issue and also keep the shades from moving around as much during travel.
I’m not a wood worker but I’d love to but a 90 degree angle trim, sand and finish it and attach it the window trim sides. I’m afraid it would not match the rest of the wood in the rig, however.
We just deal with it….I figure if someone is looking that hard let em see what they see. LOL Then let me catch them! .
Posted: 10:53 PM – Jan 23, 2016Bob, Bob, Bob, me thinks you were actually expecting lifestyle to own up to it’s mistake??? On the 3 windows that don’t have valances in our Carriage the are plenty wide enough so light does not get in and they cover the windows all the way to wood window frames edge.
I would suggest a call back to them and tell them that between the one who measured the windows, Lifestyle & MCD they should get together and make you a happy camper as you did your job by paying them a large sum of money and didn’t get what you paid for. Hugs, Di
PS Do you and Jo “wanna” do lunch when we get back to AZ, hopefully in March?? Would love to visit!bobinraymoremo wrote:Sorry this somehow ended up the manuf rep ‘on the inside’ area when I wanted it here.—
