- Hello, since Evergreen is out of business, how would I find the make and part number of my grey tank. I have a small crack in it and am looking to replace it.
Thanks, Mark
Posted: 1:04 PM – Oct 10, 2016Call these people they bought all of Lifestyle’s parts. this is off another post. From another forum there was a post that Johnson Surplus in White Pigeon, MI bought the Evergreen/Lifestyle parts at auction.
I have not called them but their number is 269-483-2249Posted: 1:35 PM – Oct 10, 2016Thank you so much for your reply. I really appreciate it!Posted: 2:21 PM – Oct 10, 2016How did you discover the crack? Is it leaking somewhere?Posted: 2:30 PM – Oct 10, 2016We had our underbelly come down twice, so we took it to a repair shop and they said it was the bathroom grey (35 gal) that had a crack on top of the tank that would only leak when it was close to being full. We have been getting by because we are always hooked up at a park and leave our gate valve open.Posted: 6:08 PM – Oct 10, 2016Can’t you have it patched instead of replaced?Posted: 12:35 AM – Oct 11, 2016Patched mine and seems to be holding one year later.Posted: 6:11 AM – Oct 11, 2016I am looking at the patching option too. What kind of product did you use? Also, how did you apply it?Posted: 7:35 AM – Oct 11, 2016Di-Mark16 wrote:I am looking at the patching option too. What kind of product did you use? Posted: 8:13 AM – Oct 11, 2016Perfect, thanks again for such good information.Posted: 4:33 PM – Oct 11, 2016BTW, are you SURE it is a cracked tank? On mine, the pipe that enters the top of the tank separated from the tank, causing the leak.Posted: 5:13 PM – Oct 11, 2016Interesting thought, will definitely check that connection first.Posted: 8:14 PM – Oct 11, 2016I cut some black PVC pipe with a saw and mixed the shavings with some PVC glue making a paste. Saw it on you-tube, look it up for all the directions.Posted: 8:42 PM – Oct 11, 2016The tanks can be welded. I’ve done it with a soldering iron that I made a ball end tip for.If you look around for a company that builds custom plastic tanks they’ll be able to weld the tank and make it like new.
Edit – this only works if the tanks are roto molded polyethylene. I don’t know about ABS tanks
