- This is our first trailer with a whole house water filter, we have used the trailer around 65 days since new, and our filter is now restricting the flow to about 1/2. I was wounder if this sounds normal, I was expecting it to last longer since they are so pricey.Posted: 12:31 PM – Dec 22, 2012Mine lasted about 90 days, I changed it with a larger one that last about 9 months. do a search for your filter model there is a wide price difference in price.Posted: 2:07 PM – Dec 22, 2012The larger filter makes a big difference. If memory serves me (a very big IF) it is a 3M-BD3. It allows for a great gpm flow and lasts a long time. On line search will help with price – they aren’t cheap.Posted: 6:30 PM – Dec 22, 2012Jpcovert1 wrote:The larger filter makes a big difference. If memory serves me (a very big IF) it is a 3M-BD3. You might try the http://www.rvwaterfilterstore.com/. They offer very competitive prices on the 3M products and others and our very helpful with any issues.
Posted: 10:28 AM – Dec 23, 2012Did you check the faucets to see if they are clogged? Hard water still can clog them even with the filter. I got about 6 months out of ours before changing, and we fulltime. I think the box said the filter is good for about 10,000 gallons.Mike
Posted: 5:42 PM – Dec 23, 2012Thanks for the replies I should have told you it was a 3M B2 filter, yes it was the filter I changed it and everything works great now. It says on the box of this B2 filter it is good for 7,500 gal . We do have a washer and dryer in coach and wife washes a lot so maybe we used this much water, I will try and get a larger one next time.Posted: 6:35 PM – Dec 23, 2012We’ve never used a water filter. One thing is it restricts the flow of the water. The other thing is that we use bottled water for drinking and coffee and the campground water is definitely o.k. for showering without the restriction in water flow. Guess what we would pay for filters we pay for bottled water. Just our choice.Posted: 5:07 PM – Dec 25, 2012I will be installing a water filter in-line with my hose. Does anyone have experience with this type and what do you recommend? I have seen a lot of information about Hydro Life, but don’t know if there is a better alternative or if this would be the best for the money.Posted: 9:19 AM – Dec 27, 2012Consolidated food service 1800-550-0706 water filter part# Cuno H F-60 F I called 3 M and was told that it was the same body as the B 3 .It is made for industrial ice makers. check for Your self.
