I had Kodiak disc brakes on my 2011 Carriage Cameo and found the brake pads very resonable and could find them at any auto parts store , well I now have a 2015 Lifestyle with Kodiak brakes and when I changed the pads on this unit the pads were probably 3 times the price and were a special order !! Any idea why Kodiak changed to these pads , as one of there selling points was you can get the brake pads anywhere , well not so now !! Anyone know the reason behind this ?

No idea, but probably sold the name and product line to a competitor that now has a monopoly.

On our 2013 which I believe the PO changed out the drum brakes for the Kodiak the information I had was like a 1970’s Buick brake pad. Don’t know what year system our is. I would have to look it up again.

            Islander,

ETrailer has the pads – $90 for the 7-8K axles.  That one set does one axle.  You need 2 sets, so free shipping.

            https://www.etrailer.com/Accessories-and-Parts/Kodiak/K250CP.html

I think auto parts stores can find them with

            DBC-250-CERM-PAD

            or

            K250CP

They were commonly used on the Chevy’s older Kodiak trucks.

The picture is from the book provided with the Kodiak disc brakes on my 2013 Lifestyle. I can’t say if any changes were made on the 2015.

This is the lower part of the page from my earlier post. It shows the same part # and if you search the # on etrailer you get the same pads as the link that was posted. I have the 25o caliper so if they changed to a different caliper I could see the use of a different pad.
