We have a “new to us”  1996 manufactured (1997 registered) 528RK. (2 owner) Literally, everything works, well taken care of, 1997 528RK.

I am an old mechanic and C-10 electrician (17 yr Solar company owner) so just had to mostly clean, lube, and replace obvious items. (CO Propane alert, fan motors, replace all the bulbs with LED’s, tires (age), batteries (replaced with new 400AH Gel-cels I had around) and an Aims 3KW Inverter charger I had in my 1975 GMC 26ft Class A.  Victron shunt and all the safety things needed.

Need to clean up a hole in the passenger side wheel well from a tire blowout (previous owner) and run a couple of 10/3 SOOW cables from the front DC area to the breakers to the right of the sink in the rear kitchen.  before I close it up.

My question is: Is there any path description, or service manual on these units? I know how stupid the question is, but at 68, I can dream still.

From what I read, I guess just take apart various panels in the basement and probably the protective belly pan up front and the fabric type cover in the rear. seems like taking apart easy, but re-assembly probably a bear..

I would say stay away from removing the fabric underneath unless that is no other way. Best bet is to remove storage area panels to find a route…Rich

There is a massive 3-foot tall interstitial space between the 5er carpet/linoleum/ steel frame support and the insulation, steel frame and belly fabric below.  Removing fabric is well and good but reveals nothing in the holding tank area or other places, other than slide motors.  Remove the (?black?) vertical wall panels at the rear of the main storage area.  A little cramped to crawl into unless you are 18, but Easy to fish stuff rearward from there. Easier still to the forward storage but no need to remove the panels – just be mindful not to drill into the fresh water holding tank!

intermediate spot to fish to in my unit is below garbage can area of slide where plumbing drains etc in slide get to body of 5er.  You must have something similar with rear plumbing.

          good luck

            Thanks, John and subframe,

I was able to fish from the heater area back to the rear storage space, using the hole for the plumbing drains into the rear storage. Used fiberglass fish and ended up on the first pull, across the top of the slide actuator rotating shaft. re-pull under the shaft on second try and forward past the fresh water tank, and into the front area, where I have the new AIMS inverter-charger, safety fusing, disconnects and shunts.

Forward from the heater area under the sink and into the electrical area. Lots of wasted space in these older ones, I see.

GLAD I pulled the fresh water tank, I had 1 screw that would have eventually when I filled the fresh water tank, would have rubbed a hole in it…

Roof recoated and next thing is a couple of old 72cell 305 watt solar panels on the roof above the bedroom to the Victron 100/50. I am assuming there is room around the area right behind the front cap down the wall. prefer the passenger side but just a little more USE2 wire so certainly not important it be on the passenger side.

            Thanks again,

            Jack

Just joined mainly to find wiring diagram and general layout rather than each and every possible  component that got crammed onto a CD i bought.

Inherited a 2002 Cameo F30 RLS from my inlaws.   It had to be moved by a rv hauler from Gilroy RV park back to our driveway.

No tow vehicle so it will be parked until sold or used as a spare room.

1:   Labels on circuit breakers don’t match what they currently power.  one breaker has no wire connected so I think they routed the ”microwave” to the new AC on the roof.

2:  They removed the heater and I assume the GREY wire from the fuse panel may go there.

3:  They added a second 110 shore power plug with a 30 amp fuse so they could run space heaters and the wiring also goes to the roof AC unit (I think).

The hijacked circuit was probably pulled from breaker 2A

4:  Bed lifters were catywhompus and I  bolstered the plywood platform and replaced the 4 foot piano hinge.

5: Trying to add 12 volt CLA plugs and or tap into 12 volt runs for alternate power.

6:  Replacing light fixtures and LED for incandescent bulbs,

7: Fiddling with a few spare solar panels to power lights , pump and fans without loading the 120 to 12 volt 60 amp converter

8: Replaced the magnesium rod in the water heater and flushed tanks.

9: Patching interior holes where they mounted stuff to the walls

10 : patching exterior hols where they screwed in snaps to hold a front skirt

11: Gypsy roof recoater rang doorbell with a fler and I paid for a  recoat on the sopt.

Just a retired 65 year old electronics tech doing my best to renovate a fairly well maintained rig with little to go on.

              Thanks

                Bses,

photo of a 2010 connection at the propane furnace.  Thin wires in this model originate at thermostat but are routed through the original (probably rear) ac unit control box.  Yours may go thermostat to furnace directly.
